Which Knife Should I Buy?
I have decided on getting the Kershaw Leek as an every day carry knife. I am undecided between two models and was hoping for some input/clarification. I am getting either the standard Leek or the Leek Random. I was wondering what kind of steel they are both made out of, I have read either 440a or 13C26. Which is better and where should I buy the from?
Standard Leek: http://www.amazon.com/Kershaw-Leek-Frame-Lock-Knife/dp/B002DUBPAE/ref=sr_1_32?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1281016796&sr=1-32
Leek Random: http://www.amazon.com/Kershaw-Assisted-Opening-Random-Stainless/dp/B002WPTQGK/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1281016730&sr=1-17
This is for a light use knife*
Price is not an issue*
Would like to know the true steel type of each*
Which model is better*
*These are both spring assisted knives...
It really depend what your going to be using it for.."every day carry knife" means many things. are you in a line of work where you cut a great deal? or is it just a pocket knife that will be used every so often for a box strap or a line? if its the first one then id say neither and drop some cash on a high carbon steel, with stainless you'd be sharpening every few days. if its the second one then id go with a cheaper knife (20-30 range) because those two you selected have "premium tanto steel" which doesn't mean anything and you'd be paying for the name.
hope this helps any, email me if you want a few suggestions.
Two men arrested in $70,000 theft from their Columbia boss (The State)
Two men are charged in the theft of roughly $70,000 from their employer,
Columbia Police announced Friday. Bernard Ray Fields, 28, and James Demetrius
Brevard, 23, are charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent and
conspiracy.
The pair is accused of stealing from their employer, Loomis Fargo and Co., of
Sumter Street in Columbia. According to police, the pair was supposed to
deliver the $70,000 to an unidentified retail store. When the money did not
arrive, employees at Loomis and the retail store contacted police.
The money has been recovered by law enforcement half buried underneath a dog
house on Juniper Street in Columbia, and the rest at a home in Camden.
Fields and Brevard were transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
The Kershaw County Sheriffs Department assisted in the case.
