How The Health Fitness Lifestyle Can Work For You

A health fitness lifestyle may seem out of reach for most people who are too busy with job and family commitments, who lack initiative or who have simply too little time on their hands. It doesn't have to be. Eating a more healthful diet, adding a little more exercise to your daily routine, quitting smoking, maintaining a normal weight and limiting alcohol consumption each are small steps that add up to major benefits for your body.

Eating right does not have to be a chore. Simple changes you can make while on your next visit to the grocery store can get you on the right path to eating better. Small substitutions like eating more fruit and veggies and eating less refined and processed foods over time saves calories and adds nutrients to your diet. Don't force yourself to shelve your entire diet and start with something restrictive. Feeling deprived leads to failure. Go slow and enjoy each new item you add to your diet.

Drinking alcohol in moderation has actually been shown to benefit the cardiovascular system. However, consuming more than a glass or two a day can cause liver damage. The liver acts as a giant filter system of the body. When the filter is clogged, the body does not function properly. Jaundice, gallstones, blood clotting difficulties, organ failure and death can result when the liver is compromised.

By watching your diet and incorporating health fitness into your daily routine, you can more easily maintain a healthy weight for your body type. Do scales on the guitar?

Ok ive learned a lot of stuff, but the knowledge means nothing without trying out and experiencing what notes to hit on the fretboard in different keys. Well ive been wondering, do scales limit or expand your creativity? I can see where it would expand it, however i could also see how it limits you, especially when your trying to find your distinct sound. Does steve vai purposely make most of his solos sound exotic and badass or is that his "Auto-pilot" when he gets in the zone?

Steve Vai is on auto pilot, but his auto pilot is trained Vai uses his mastery of the fret board to create his sound. However Joe Satriani, and Eric Johnson sound similar so it is more of a genre than "his sound". Scales are only part of the puzzle. Modes are in my opinion are more important than scales. Once you understand how modes work you understand how scales interact with each other and can switch from scale to scale effortlessly and this helps you to create yor own sound. For instance, a G major and a E minor scale are pretty much the same scale just starting on different notes. That is it very basic but its important to understand that scales are only one weapon a badass like Vai has. Oh yeah and he sold his soul to the devil, but that's a different story....
